How long is production time?

All of our jewellery is handmade to order, please allow 7-10 business days for your order to be completed. Please allow approximately 1-4 weeks from placing your order to delivery, accounting for production, handling, weekends and shipping transit.

Can you create custom designs?

We can accommodate any custom design, at the cost of a design fee depending on the complexity and scale of the design. Design fees begin at $300 USD.

Custom orders can also include customised laser inscriptions and finishing at additional cost.

Can you create custom sizes?

Yes. Signature Series rings are made to order and can accommodate a broad range of sizes, including half sizes. Atelier Series rings are generally offered in standard US sizes 4–10 where applicable.

Larger or non-standard sizes may require additional material and can incur an additional charge. Contact our team via live chat or the contact form if the size you require is not shown.

Where are your products made?

All rings, pendants and earrings are handmade entirely in Australia from locally sourced materials.

All ready-made chains are sourced locally and ethically wherever possible. Where sourced internationally, primarily sourced in Italy.

Clothing is made in Australia from local and imported materials, all clothing is comprised of Certified Organic Cotton and recycled materials.

What is meant by ethics and sustainability?

We believe in incorporating the ethics and philosophies that are the backbone of the Philologa concept into every process and material used in the production of Philologa products. Everything we do takes into account ethics and sustainability. From design, through to production and eventually packaging and shipping to our customers, we are conscious of sustainable practices.

Although this may slow down production, we believe good things happen slowly.

Here are a few ways we do things slowly, better:

  • All our Philologa products are handmade in Australia.
  • All ready-made chains are sourced locally and ethically wherever possible. Where sourced internationally, primarily manufactured in Italy with a secondary manufacturer for gold-plated items in South Korea.
  • All staff are paid and treated fairly.
  • All metals are of the highest quality and sourced and cast in Australia.
  • All stones and precious gems are sourced ethically.
  • All shipping materials are recyclable or compostable, including labels, excluding labels placed by external parties such as customs or international logistics services.
  • All recyclable waste products are recycled.
  • All shipping is completely carbon offset and Carbon Positive.
  • Where possible, Philologa avoids the use of:
    • Synthetic fibres, microfibre products.
    • Plastics, plastic tools, plastic storage.
    • Unnecessary shipping or importation, we source locally wherever possible.
    • Unnecessary chemicals, where chemicals must be used they are neutralised and disposed of safely.
    • Sourcing materials, labour or services from any suppliers that cannot confirm the fair treatment of their staff and ethical practices.

Signature Series orders include complimentary standard shipping. Atelier Series and other applicable collections use the following rates:

Domestic:

Express: 1 to 4 business days $20.00
Standard: 2 to 8 business days $15.00

International:

Standard International: 6 to 27 business days $40.00
Express International: 6 - 10 business days $60.00
